Biography

Mason Hope writes with an authenticity and maturity that crosses generations and palettes, creating music that mellifluously blends within mainstream music settling nicely into the Alt country genre.

The Sunshine Coast singer/songwriter has been widely acknowledged, winning Gympie Music Muster Talent Search, representing Australia at the Trans-Tasman Entertainer of the Year awards on Norfolk Island battling it out between the best of Australia and New Zealand country artists, Mason brought home the winning trophy. Multi award winning artist Shane Nicholson, a judge of the Trans Tasmans, has produced Masons music over the last three years, including a new offering from mason of three songs being released late August, along with a video by award winning videographer Jay Seeney at Blacklist Productions.

Mason has featured on multiple stages with some of the country’s greats at festivals including Caloundra Music Festival, Bluesfest, Gympie Music Muster, Norfolk Island, Horizon festival and Tamworth CMF. Able to swap between drums, guitar, keyboard, bass and looping, this consummate entertainer is destined to be in our ears for years.

Masons EP “Running Falling Floating” received national airplay and saw Mason as a featured house guest on ABC radio Sydney with Felicity Urqhart, and also ABC radio QLD artist of the month, the hit song “The River” made it onto the APRA song of the year list, and was no 1 on Australian Country Radio.

Middle Class Man released in 2022 hit the top 5 Amrap charts and the video was featured on Foxtel CMT and Saturday Night Country with Beccy Cole, added to apple playlist “Aussie Country”

Lonely Hunter released 2022 received national airplay and was added to the Apple Southern Craft Americana playlist.

With three new songs produced by Shane Nicholson from the EP “Kings Cross Story” Paradise Girl will be released in mid August followed by “Whenre’s Adam” and “Arian”.
